S2243W
S2243W is a 22“ monitor with a 24“ Resolution. It offers a staggering 1920 x 1200 Resolution by which itreaches a 103 dpi detail. Doing so, it shows about 30% more than any other 22” monitor. On top of that,it takes quite some less space on your desk than a 24” monitor. This is a clear advantage for landscapeoffices, call centres or dealingrooms.

Resolution
An LCD panel is composed of a fixed number of image points (pixels), that can light up in order to show an image. This image is built through horizontal and vertical pixels together. LCDs obtain the best quality when all pixel data can be shown, this means when the computer's resolution is the same as the LCDs maximal resolution.
DVI
A digital connector for flatscreens. The DVI can, using the TMDS signal protocol, show the digital data from the PC dirzectly and without quality loss. There are two kinds of DVI connections : a DVI-D connector for digital signals only and a DVI-I connector for digital and analogue signals.
Gamut
The totality of colurs a certain device can reproduce. A colour is beyond the Gamut when the device does not have that colour available.
Viewing Angle
Maximal viewing angle, under a contrast better than 10:1. It is decisive for the user how he notices the changes in characteristics when he moves from the middle of the screen towards the borders. Contrast stability varies from one LCD technology to another, as can clearly be shown with a measurement diagram or a direct visual comparison. The more stable colour tones and contrast are to the viewer, the more precise his image representation will be. This is why EIZO uses the best of the TN and PVA panels, partly in combination with Overdrive Technology.
TN
TN Panels are ideal for standard office use thanks to their angle independant contrasts. If the application needs a perfect representation of moving images, it also offers faster switching times.
Overdrive
With this function, pixels are precalculated and through intelligent steering accelerated. In this way not only the black-white-black changes, but also changes of colour nuances are shown very rapidly. Images changes in fast video sequences, 3D CAD animations and games do not suffer from unwanted ghosting effects, and are shown in a truly brilliant quality.
LUT
Here in the monitor the signal values of the colour tones are stored. For a precise colour representation, the EIZO monitors are equipped with a 12 or 10Bit LUT, instead of the 8 Bit LookUpTable (LUT) mainstream monitors use. Precision work that is taken care of by an Eizo developed heavy-duty chipset.
Wide Gamut
Wide Gamut means a colour space which is obviously larger than the viewable pallet of mainstream LCDs. Depending on the model, they can cover up to 100% NTSC and 97 % of the Adobe RGB colour space. The colours of these monitors thus reaches a realistic image quality that up to now could not be reached by LCDs.
