DVI (digital) or DSub (analogue) which is better?

It's always better to use a digital signal. With DVI one does not have to change anything. The digital signal is shown 1:1 on the monitor. One must of course have a graphic board with a DVI connector. Most recent graphic boards do offer a DVI-I connector. When you only have an analogue connector on your monitor, then you can use only the analogue signal og the graphic board and the analogue connector on the monitor. Precisely these items can cause loss of quality in the image. Analogue signals of graphic boards may vary from one manufacturer to the other. The optimal setting is obtained through the "Auto Adjust" function of your monitor. In short : When your monitor is digitally connected with DVI to the graphic board, you will always benefit from the highest image quality. When using an analogue signal, the quality mainly depends on the quality of the graphics board.
