In short …
The EIZO developed ColorNavigator software aims at a simple calibration of ColorEdge monitors. This solution offers a precise colour judgment and monitor setting for a specialist. It is so simple one has only got to set target values for brightness, whitepoint and Gamma and start the automatic calibration. ColorNavigator Works with an integrated measuring device as well as a vast range of external measurement devices that directly work on the internal 16- or 10Bit Look-Up-Table (LUT) of the ColorEdge monitors to perform a highly precise and lasting calibration.
- Setting brightness, whitepoint, black value and gamma of the monitors and create a correct profile
Choosing values for brightness, whitepoint and gamma without measuring, then, with one press on the button, start the automatic calibration and get a profile. - RGB and CMY colour profile simulation (only for CG monitors with Wide Gamut and 3D LUT)
Emulate the colour characteristics of another output device or printing process. This function is crucial for softproofing, independently of the colour management capacity of the computer. It is also used when another element in the workflow is used as a reference. - Setting a monitor with previous settings (profile)
- Save previous calibration results as profile and use it again to set a monitor.
For various environments such as printing processes, working environments, light situations, one can store various profiles and use them when needed. The ColorNavigator is compatible with ICC V2.2- or ICC V4.2 colour profiles. - Control & validation
Measure colour defects on a monitor and adapt the colour distance (Delta E). One thus needs a control of the colour accuracy as well as a CMYK printing process colour validation. Common standard printing processes are already predefined. Other output processes can be added through your profile.
